Thank you for purchasing a Fluid Management automatic colorant dispenser with Harper Inc. We want your installation to be as smooth and stress-free as possible. Below you’ll find everything you need in one place: the required documents, instructions, and answers to common questions.
Step 1: Complete the Installation Checklist
Download the checklist:
This checklist ensures your store is ready for installation. Please:
-
In order to complete the checklist, your dispenser must first be delivered.
-
Fill out the checklist completely. (Initial next to the required items and sign the form)
-
Email it back to fusinstallation@idexcorp.com (the address is listed at the top of the form).
-
Indicate your preferred installation date — Fluid Management’s dispatch team will do their best to meet it, depending on technician availability. Installation services can take up to 7 business days to arrange in some areas.
⚠️ Note: If you submit the checklist, schedule the instal and on the day of install the requirements are not met (power, computer, colorant, etc.), the technician may have to reschedule, and Fluid Management may charge for a return trip
Step 2: Review the Statement of Work
Download The Statement of Work:
This document outlines what the technician will cover on-site, including:
-
How to dispense standard and manual formulas.
-
How to adjust and save formulas.
-
Daily maintenance (purging, nozzle cleaning, agitation).
-
Label and barcode scanner use (if applicable).
-
Integration with your color matching system (As needed to install the dispenser, the tech is not being compensated for configuring color matching systems not directly responsible for dispensing operations.)
⚠️ Note: We recommend printing this document and keeping it on hand during installation. It helps you confirm everything is completed before signing off with your technician.
Installation Scheduling Note
A Few quick notes about scheduling:
- Once your checklist is submitted, Fluid Management will email and or call you to finalize your installation appointment. FM usually schedules within 4–5 business days, but timing can vary, the sooner you get your checklist back the better.
-
Installation could take up to seven days depending on technician workload and location.
- It is important that you let Fluid Management know as soon as possible if for any reason an install date becomes unavailable on your end. Please email fusinstallation@idexcorp.com as soon as you can if an issue arises.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I have to use the preferred install date box?
A: No, but it helps Fluid Management schedule your technician as close to your desired date as possible.
Q: What if my color matching system isn’t ready on install day?
A: The technician can attempt integration, but if additional support is required, you must contact your color match vendor directly. Fluid Management won’t return for a second trip just to set this up.
Q: Who provides training on paint products and color theory?
A: Your paint representative provides this. Fluid Management’s technician focuses only on dispenser setup, software basics, and daily maintenance.
Q: What if I realize I have questions after signing off on the install?
A: This is why we recommend reviewing the Statement of Work above during the technician’s visit. Return trips for additional training will be billable. should you need help you can contact the Fluid Management Help Desk if you have questions that don’t require a visit from a technician.
