Replacing an existing Fluid Management dispenser
If your store operates an AccuTinter, X-ProTint, TI Velocity or another existing dispenser, start with the installed configuration and the work it must handle. A product name alone is not enough to select a replacement. Replacing the dispenser does not necessarily require replacing the spectrophotometer, software and PC; retaining those components depends on verification of compatibility with the proposed configuration.
Evaluate a current COROB configuration against your colorant system, formula software and dispenser-driver requirements, peak workload, container sizes, available space and implementation needs. Harper does not treat a legacy model-to-model comparison as a guarantee of interchangeable equipment.
Your replacement assessment checklist
- Installed machine: manufacturer, model, serial number and the reliability or workflow problem prompting the change.
- Workload: typical weekly tinted gallons, busiest-hour orders and frequency of five-gallon batches. A weekly average can hide a busy counter’s bottleneck.
- Colorants: exact system, number of colorants, refill frequency and paint-line requirements.
- Software and PC: application and version, Windows version, driver/controller and backup process.
- Color measurement: current instrument model and whether matching performance also needs attention.
- Site: available floor space, access route, electrical supply and container handling.
- Timing: desired installation date, acceptable downtime, operator availability and removal of old equipment.
Which current machines should I compare?
The COROB EVO1ST 100, EVO1ST 200 and EVO1ST 300 are evaluation options within Harper’s current range. Stores with different capacity or workflow requirements can also review D600 and EVOPWR.
These are starting points, not a blanket approval for every Benjamin Moore or other colorant configuration. Confirm the precise offered configuration, applicable approval, software support and installation scope before ordering. Use the automatic paint dispenser buying guide to compare the workflow questions.
What can stay, and what needs to change?
Your instrument, PC or software may be retainable, but only after configuration checks. Plan backups and exports before any equipment change; a formula export and a full recoverable backup serve different purposes. Verify who is responsible for data transfer, driver setup, testing, calibration, training and removal of the old machine.
For Benjamin Moore stores, the MetaVue and ColoRx workflow checklist explains the information needed to review the color-matching side. Do not assume ColorDesigner PLUS is an obligatory addition to every dealer’s proprietary software setup.
